John, my grandfather was Paul. His brothers were Felix, Simon, Peter and a sister Mary (Bassette). Paul's father was Francois, but was known as Daniel. He married Clarisse (Clara) Peloquin. I have information on Paul's siblings to the current generation.
My mother had told me that one branch of the Felix Peloquin lineage had changed their last name to Felix.I thought it was Felix himself, but I couldn't conclude that from Ray's findings. I found Ray's info to be confusing in that regard and the connection to the previous generation. I was trying to see where that happened and how that branch relates to us. I was also trying to find out why so many went to the Chippewa area at that time and what generation may have been the first. Many were lumberjacks and perhaps there were good job prospects at that time.
I now live in Calif and have brothers living in Minn. We still have relatives living in the Chippewa area. Larry
