My 2nd great grandmother was Sophia Pelsue who married Shalor Lewis in 1838 at Stockholm, St. Lawrence Co., NY. The family of George Buck and Phoebe (Newell) Pelsue moved from MA to VT and then to northern NY. I discovered that this surname is fairly unique and decided a few years ago to collect as much information about the different branches of this family as possible from the internet and local sources - my aim was an attempt to complete an entire Pelsue family history. So, I now have accumulated quite a large file, and I would like to share this information with anyone who is interested to either extend their family research or add to what I have found.
