Susan, I know that there were some PELT's that moved into Georgia that I can not put with my PELT family line (Henry/Rhoda Oliver PELT). My Henry and Rhoda were married in Craven County, NC in 1795, and sometime after that made their way down into Hancock County, Georgia. I can not put Henry with any of the PELT families in North Carolina - but, I think I have narrowed it down to possibly one of two that appear in the 1790 North Carolina census. As you probably know, only the heads of households were named in these early censuses; however, calculating age/sex of Henry, these would put him in two households in the Craven County area.
That is where I am on the North Carolina PELT lines. If you have access to the early North Carolina censuses, that might be of help to you.
