Hi there...
I am working at trying to solve the perplexing problem of the ancestry/parentage of a Daniel Warner Jr. who mar. ca 1741 Anne Pember, dau of John Pember of Stafford (Pember Genealogy). Daniel Jr. and Anne lived in Stafford, Tolland Co., Conn. where their children's births are recorded in Stafford VR. In the 1780's they may have been in Ashfield, now Franklin Co., Mass. where two of their children (Thomas and Elizabeth Warner "of Ashfield") mar. respectively Huldah Lazel in 1781 and Robert Lazel in 1786 (Ashfield VR and NEHGR 89:17).

A possible parentage for Daniel Jr. has been widely circulated on the internet (without quoted sources) as a Daniel and Dinah (????) Warner whose deaths are recorded in Stafford Church records; Daniel d. May 1785 "aged almost 95 yrs" (b. ca 1689-90), Mrs. Dinah Warner d. May 1782 "in ye 88th year" (b ca 1693-94).

Other internet postings and offline sources have Daniel Jr. of Stafford as the son of a Daniel Warner and Elizabeth Adams b 1686, dau. of Jacob Adams of Suffield, and mar. ca 1710 in Suffield, Hartford Co., Conn. (Suffield VR).

Was Dinah a second wife of the Daniel Warner Sr.(?) who died in Stafford...??

Any help, advice or direction in solving my problem would be greatly appreciated.

TKA...best regards, John
