The only publication on the Pendarvis family genealogy was written early 1900's by Heyward, a relation. This book follows Josiah, son of Thomas and Elizabeth (?) Pendarvis. Thid union produced Josiah who changed his name to Bedon (mother's maiden name)after learning of his Uncle Joseph's relationship with a negro slave, Parthena. Josiah Bedon's son Richard Bedon, known locally during the Revolution as "Tory Dick" who was massacured during an ambush.
The book is long out of print but I do have a fragile copy to do look-ups in.
