Randy - You are the King of PENDARVIS Info! Thank You so much for your help and clarification. I knew that George A. and George R. were two different people... but I post everything I find on the line. So, do you have any Railroad information? Many of my SHOKES members were Engineers or worked with the railroad... and I've noticed that your grandfather was also a railroadman. As I look at family names, dates, and maps I think the RR was used a great deal to visit and move people more than I suspected in the early 1800s. I notice the eventual move of families from the country to Chas. and often wondered how my family lines were connected... then it dawns on me... they were working for the RR... duh! Most of these men were working class railroadmen that eventually moved to the city, or had family farms in the country, along with a town home. Many moved after towns were burned along the rail lines during the Civil War. So, if you have any RR family history to offer... please send it my way. And thanks again on your detailed research into the PENDARVIS line. Respectfully, Janet Nielson Jilote
