John Pendarves was b. 1606 in Pendarves, Cornwall, England. His wife was Anne Arundell. John died abt. 1650. His son was Joseph b. 1640/1646 in Cornwall, England. Joseph married Elizabeth Stonhall, a widow. Their children were, John b. 1672/1675, Mary b. 1674/1677, and Ann 1676/1679. Joseph d. November 19, 1694 in Charleston, South Carolina.(Will recorded Feb. 2, 1694/1695.) References: Historical Society of South Carolina (Call) Volume 5, pg.418 and 448, Family History Center, Salt Lake City, Utah (Call) #B18A, pg. 106, South Carolina Marr. 1749-1867 Vol. 3, 1671-1791, pgs. 121 and 122,"Genealogy of the Pendarvis-Bedon Families, South Carolina 1670-1900". John Pendarvis was b. 1672/1675 in Charleston, South Carolina. Here John Whitfield mentions that John's mother could have been Elizabeth Stonhall or Elizabeth West.
