I don't have specific sources as to the connection of Pendarvis in England to the Americans of the name except through family records and oral tradition, which trace the line back to the immigrant. Published genealogies speculate the connection exists, but it remains speculation. I don't claim a positive connection and wish, as I am sure many others do, that a verifiable connection could be made. For that matter, even so-called positive sources may in fact not be so, if the child was the product of a relationship outside of marriage and the husband doesn't know that it isn't his child. I am eager to find positive proofs, but some areas can only be speculation.
