John Thomas Pendarvis was most likely the son of Jacob and Unity Reeves? Pendarvis of Colleton District, SC and then later Jasper, Jones, and Rankin Co.s, MS. Jacob moved to Mississippi with his young family circa 1832/7. He was the son of Josiah (d.1839) and Catharina Moorer Pendarvis. Josiah Pendarvis was the son of Thomas (d.1783) and Elizabeth Pendarvis. Thomas Pendarvis was the youngest son of Joseph (d.1735) and Parthenia (d.1734/5) Pendarvis.
