My wife's grandmother was Pauline DeNormadie Taylor. She was the daughter of Samuel Gordon Taylor and Alma Amelia Melchers. Samuel Gordon Taylor was the son of Joseph David Taylor and Ellen Ernistine King. Joseph David was the son of David Sloan Taylor and Lucy Hannah Taliaferro. David Sloan Taylor was the son of Joseph Taylor and Nancy Sloan. Joseph Taylor was the son of Samuel Taylor and Eleanor Cannon. Samuel Taylor was the son of James Taylor and Hannah Williams. This James Taylor was originally from Pennsylvania and a lot of researchers see the book "History of Old Pendleton District" written by R.W. Simpson where he erronly states that James was the son of James Taylor who was the first Taylor that immigrated to the United States and was married first to Francis Walker and then Mary Gregory. A few researchers believe that James Taylor's, husband of Hannah Williams, father was a Joseph Taylor. No positive proof has ever been given as to who James Taylor's parentage is but it is certain that he was not a son of James Taylor from Carlise, England.
Does this line of Taylor's connect to any of yours? Even though my wife's ancestry doesn't tie into the James Taylor of Carlise through this line she does from him through one of his daughters, I just don't remeber which one at this moment. It's also interesting that I, myself, also descend from James Taylor of Carlise through his daughter that married into, I think, the Pendleton family.
The other names that you mention have no connections to me, perhaps I'll run across some of them in the future and if so I'll post on the forum. Best Regards.
