Hi! My name is Lucille Pendarvis Bailey. My father came from Orangeburg, SC. His name was Kanie Elijah Pendarvis. We are Black Pendarvis, who live the Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia area. I was reading some of your email and I am interested in finding out more. Of course I know that my name derived from the causcasian race and slave ownership but I am still interested. There are quite a few of us in this area.

Also, about the Quaker suggestion. I found there are Quakers in Wisconsin, and a town called Pendarvis. There is also a polygamist named Pendarvis that lives or lived in that area or town.

My email address is now
