While researching Joseph's land I came across a map. My note is as follows:

(Note: The land owned by Joseph (Lot # 45, 66, 67, 217, 218) On the town map at the SC Archives on Meeting Street and Chalmers indicate that all of the town lots were on Church Street between Chalmers and Cumberland and include the land where St. Michaels Episcopal Church now stands.)

This gave me a better understanding of where things were.

His Plantation lands were the areas known as the Magnolia Umbria (Now contains Cemetaries Including Manolia and Bethany.) and Sans Souci which completes the span of the Charleston penensula. This was the last grant that encompassed land that touched both the Ashley and the Cooper rivers.
