Thank you for voicing your concern. While I can not say with 100% confidence that holes do not exist in some of my research, I can say that I have logged literally thousands (well over 10,000) hours of research time in libraries and archives all over the US and Britian. For the last two and a half years I have worked full time on the Pendarvis family, and as a nearly full-time avocation for the 20 years before that. In other words, I am not guessing without an education in the matter. It is entirely possible that my own biases have interfered with the direction that my research has taken, though I can comfortably say that I came to the conclusion that Parthenia was my ancestress, and that of all individuals named Pendarvis born since 1802, while living in my Southern home of birth, and looking in the mirror at very fair, white skin and clear blue eyes. My mother's people, your cousins, were very much in opposition to my findings in the beginning, claiming descent from Tory Dick, a later Pendarvis immigrant, or unknown sons of the first Josiah.
If you do have an alternate theory, I would love to hear it, and will offer any proofs of its truth or otherwise that I can find. In addition, I will gladly follow up any leads that you can offer to back up your alternate theory.
Are you the South Carolina Ned? If so, your line is one that I am most confident.
