Randy - thanks for your answer. I have evidence that Joseph and Parthenia were possibly married in the Quaker Church and she is referred to as a "mulatto". Parthenia may well have been from Barbadoes and not African. It seems little is known about her - I am aware that Joseph refers to her in his will as a "Negro" If this is true (the marrige) then the children certainly wouldn't be illegimate. Didn't Josiah's father marry three times, bearing a male offspring by the first union and three males by the third? If this is true then none of those lines would have been from Joseph and Parthenia. Your research appears to be fairly conclusive regarding our line, however I would want more evidence from Thomas to Daniel then Daniel Jr. then Timothy Olin (my Grandfather).
