I am searching for information regarding Lawrence or Laurence Pendergast and his wife Johanna or Joanna mn Quigley or Barry and their children (known to me): Nicholas, Margaret and Peter. Lawrence would have been born before 1790 and was living in Duncormick, Co Wexford at the time of the birth of son Nicholas 15 Aug 1815 (according to Nicholas' naturalization papers filed in Boston, Massachusetts 1848.) I do not know if Lawrence and Johanna remained in Ireland after the birth of Peter in 1824. I cannot find any records of the family in Ireland.

Nicholas was a tailor by trade. He was born 15 Aug 1815. He emigrated first to Saint John, New Brunswick where he was married to Mary McCafferty in 1840. He and Mary emigrated to Boston where they raised their family of 10 children: Lawrence, Johanna, Sarah, Daniel, John, Margaret, Mary Agnes, Lucy, Thomas, and Nicholas. Nicholas Sr. died in Boston, Massachusetts in 1898.

Margaret was born in Co Wexford in Aug 1820. She married James Furlong, place unknown, abt 1850. They settled in the Lowell, Massachusetts area and raised at least 6 children: Annie, William, John, James, Johanna, and Peter. She died in 1901 in Lowell.

Peter was born in County Wexford 12 Aug 1824. He arrived in New York in June 1846 and can be found living in Lowell, MA by 1849 when he was married to Mary Gardner 2 Jul 1849. They had at least 3 children: Annie, Joanna, and Andrew. Peter listed his occupation as shoemaker. He served during the Civil War in Company A of Massachusetts 2nd Heavy Artillary Regiment. He married Johanna Sinnott in Lowell in 1873. They had at least 3 children: William, Mary and Peter. Peter, Sr died in Lowell in 1903.

Any information regarding or relating to this family would be gratefully received by me.
Thank you!
