Amber,

I think this may be my great-grandfather... I tried to reply
directly, but the e-mail bounced back as undeliverable.

James A. "Doc" Pendergraft was born in Logan Co., AR in Feb., 1877.
He married Julia Beshears Jan 28, 1894 in Franklin Co., AR. Jim and
Julia had three children, William David (my grandfather), Charles, and
Rosie. At the time of the 1900 census, they were living in Scott
County, Arkansas.

Jim and Julia were divorced around 1900 or so, and according to my
grandfather, Jim remarried to a woman named Nancy and they had a
daughter "Josie." My grandfather wasn't sure what Nancy's last name
was, but I believe he said that she was a widow. Unfortunately, this
is about all I know of the family from Jim's second marriage.

Jim was killed by a man named Lee Scott on December 23, 1911, near
Boothe, Arkansas. He was living in Logan township, (Scott County?) AR
at the time of his death.

If we have a connection, I'd love to hear back from you.

Regards,

-Larry Pendergraft
