Good morning. My wife's family say that the familyl Bible of Zerah French was archived at the home of George Dewey French and his wife of many many years the former Edna Blanche Webb. Many of Zerah's belongings were at their home including the original wagon he and his family made their first trip out here in.

The family bible disappeared when "Dewey" (as we knew him) passed away. Most of the home's belongings were given by pre-arrangement to two lady relatives of his. We believe that they took the bible with them. It has not been seen since.

My wife says that Aunt Edna used to be hesitant about their reading the Book because Zerah French had the habit of making numerous (usually disparaging) comments on the borders of the pages (which usually included 'cuss words'. Edna, my wife was told, had tried to purposely erase these entries but that most of them could not be removed.

Hope this helps.
