Did you ever hear anyone speak of Caleb Pendergraft (Titus 7, Job 6, William 5) who was in Washington Co. MO in 1880 census? Caleb was 53, his wife Melissa Haggard was dead. His daughters Sarah A. 17, Matilda 16, Susan 14, Arbell 10, and my grand mother, Katherine 9. One son, Jeremiah age 12. Also Armeda "Allie" 8.

Caleb, Katherine, and Allie came to Texas. John Marion went to OK. Katherine married 1895. Caleb returned to Crawford Co., AR. He died early 1910 before U.S. census was taken. His daughter, Sarah A. married William H. Young. could he have returned to live hear a daughter? Did one of the daughters marry a Bean?

My father, birthdate 1910 in TX, was Katherine's youngest child, and he was told stories about John Marion. Family tradition says Caleb is buried in White River, which could be out Hwy. 16 East of Fayetteville, AR.

Thanks!
