Dear Paul,
I'm writing in the hope that you can help me locate my elusive grandfather. His name was Charles Edward Powell Penfold he was born in Fulham, London in 1897. His parents were Charles Penfold and Mary Anna Tucker. Charles Penfold was a postman at the time of his son's birth.Charles Edward had siblings whose names were( I believe!!!) Thomas, William, Josephine and Rosalie.
Charles Edward is believed to have arrived in Australia around 1925- he then changed his name to Ted Powell.
I'm researching from Australia and am finding it difficult to trace him.
Thanks for any help that you can give me. Suzie Powell
