William Penhallurick 1820's Perranarw..

Hello Fellow Penhalluricks!

My name is Helen Lesley Penhallurick and from the 1871 Cornwall census, I have managed to establish that I am the great, great, great grand-daughter of William and Elizabeth Penhallurick (nee Webster) of Perranarworthal. They had 8 children as follows:

Grace b @ 1850
Sarah b @ 1854
Francis b 1855 (my great, great grandfather)
Samuel b @ 1858
Emily b @ 1860
Benjamin b @ 1863
Sophia b @ 1866
Harry b @ 1868

Francis eventually left Cornwall for the mining in Dalton-in-Furness and the rest as they say is history.

I am hoping that there are ancestors of the other 7 siblings out there, or maybe someone who can take me a little further back than William and Elizabeth.

Two interesting points of note, however. Firstly, William is not listed on the 1871 census (we think he may have moved to Cumbria first). Secondly, on Francis' Birth Certificate, he is named Francis PENHALLURICK but his father is listed as William PENHALURICK. I know spelling variations are common but this is the first I have encountered in our family.

If anyone out there can help me in any way, I'd be most grateful.

Yours in anticipation,
