Hi Tiffany,
I think I can help you piece it all together as we have common ancestors. Richard Penhallurick who ended up in Washington USA was the sixth child of Robert Penhallurick and Blanch Martin of Gwennap in Cornwall. They had seven children as follows: Robert, Martin, Blanch, John, William, Richard and Jane. All the children migrated to Australia during the gold rush of the 1850s and 60s. They came at different times. Richard sailed on the Golden Era and arrived in Melbourne on 9th Sept 1856. In 1862 he is listed with his brothers Martin and William at Campbell's Creek Victoria. At the time he would have been aged 26. Some time after this he returned to Cornwall where he married Jane Bath in Stithians on 8th July 1865. Jane was a farmers daughter born in stithians 1845. Richard worked as a draper. They lived at Redruth at the time of marriage. Eight children were born in Cornwall. Ada Clare Jane, Henry Ernest, Arthur, Maud, a second Maud, Edward, Robert Martin, and Adelaide Blanch. Richard Percival, and John T. were born in Canada where they migrated to first. The familt is listed in the 1881 UK Census for Camborne, Cornwall. Richard was 45, Jane was 35, Ada 14, Henry 12, Arthur 10, Edward 4 and Martin 2.
I am a descendant of Robert, the oldest son of Robert and Blanch. Descendants of all the other children are in Australia. We are still trying to track down William.
Robert who married Blanch Martin was previously married to Ann Weeks or Wicks. This Robert's father was a Richard and his mother was Jane.
This is probably enough to start with. It will be good to hear from you. My email is jjspoor@Hotmail.com
Regards John.
