My grandmother was Margaret Tait Penman, b. 28th Jan 1914 d.11th Oct 1986. Daughter of Alexander Penman and Mary Penman nee Donaldson. As far as I know, she was from Port Seton, East Lothian, 2 miles from Tranent, and that's where we first lived before moving down to England. Hope this helps. (Just started looking at my family tree starting with my fathers side). If you do find out she is descended from Jean, I would be pleased to receive any info you may uncover. Good luck. Derek.
