Hi, I can confirm the info posted by Penny.Alexander Penman died Wellwood, Scotland 1874 age 62. Agnes Morris died Townhill, Dairy Place, April 1909, age 96. Agnes worked 60 years in the collieries, first underground, in a stair pit bringing the coal to the surface in creels. Later at the pithead when the law prohibited the employment of female labour undergroud. I'm sure my mother has an old photograph of Agnes Morris.
The parents of Alexander Penman, who married Agnes were Alexander Penman and Helen Cook (children Alexander, Robert, David, John, Archibald).
The source of this info is a family tree compiled by James Penman (married Betsy Bruce).
My father is Alexander Penman(married Marion Bloomfied), Grandfather Alexander Penman(married Helen Irons), GGfather David Penman(married Barbara Wilson),GGGfather Alexander Penman(married Agnes Morris), GGGGfather Alexander Penman(married Helen Cook).
Carrying on the tradition, my first son is Alexander.
I hopes this makes sense, I am new to this game. Would love to hear from you.
