Hi Shawn,

Thanks for responding so quickley. Yes this is the same Janet. She was married to Galbraith, then Dewar (1 daughter) the to John (Thomas?) Taylor. I have not been able to find the record of marriage between Janet and John, do you know of this? Their daughter Mary was their only child together.

I was in Lanark last August an visited the stone house on Taylors Lake. It was incredible to walk through the land and see the house. There is still one orignal barn still standing.

I found a photo of the headstone that shows John and Janet. It was on a site of cemetary listings by Keith Thompson.

My only confusion is this - I was under the understanding that Janet husband was Thomas Taylor, then I find this gravestone and he is written as John. I still need to clarigy his right name. Maybe if I can find the marriage record it will help?
