Hi I am researching my paternal Grandmother's family line. Here is the information I have so far.
Robina Penman ( my grandmother) was born in february of 1905 at Coalburn, Lesmahagow.
William and Agnes were married on November 24th, 1887 at Netherburn, Dalserf after Banns
William was born January 10th, 1867 at Stonehouse, the illegitimate son of Jane hamilton Penman, handloom weaver.
Jane later married one James Neilson and they had at least 4 children: Jane, Elizabeth, Jennet/Janet and Robert
Jane Hamilton Penman was born on April 25th, 1849 at Westquarter to Mungo Penman, weaver and Jean/Jane Henderson.
Mungo and Jane were married in 1846. Their Children were: Jean/Jane Hamilton Penman, Janet Penman born 10 May 1851 in Glassford, Agnes Penman born June 5 1854 in Glassford, Twins Davina and Robina Penman born October 15th, 1856 at Gallowgate, Glasgow, and David Penman born May 21, 1858 in westquarter
Mungo Penman was born on June 17th, 1826 in Stonehouse to David Penman and Agnes King.
This is as far as I have been able to get. If anyone is familiar with this line or has more info I would love to hear from you.
Just another short note. My grandmother Robina was one of 9 or 10 children of which I don't know the names. I believe the only son's name was Mungo Penman and that some of her sister's names were Elizabeth, Margaret, and Peg.
