I have quite a lot of detail on a Penman family who lived in Biggar, Lanarkshire and my decendent is Jane Penman but she married Thomas Fairley in West Linton, Peeblesshire on 24th Nov 1833. her parents wer Robert Penman and Mary Johnstone. So far I have found 5 siblings of Jane and their families. perhaps all this will do wil discount the Robert Penman. Robert died before 1855 and so I have no trace of his parents.
Hope this is of some help.
Be blessed,
Muriel Adam (Edinburgh)
