I have no idea of what is going on with the tartan issue. My Great-Grandfather was born in Scotland in 1908. His name was William Penman. His birthplace was Edinburgh and apparently he and his siblings inherited an castle that was sold between 20-25 years ago.

He was born on April 4, 1908; and passed away on July 22, 1994 in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.

Our tartan is from this family. It is the green and red design. My Great-Great-Grandparents had this tartan with them when they immigrated to North America in 1909.

These are all facts that can be looked up. I would anyone to see what they can find out and let me know.
