I'm researching my Devon ancestors, starting with Edward Penney, son of Edward Penny b Dec 1788, Exeter, Devon and m Anna (Hannah) Cox 25 Dec 1810 in East Teignmouth, Devon. Note change fo spelling between generations.

Edward Penney was born in Devon Feb 1817, m Elizabeth Prudence Sa(u)nders 12 Jul 1835 in Exeter, Devon (b Aug 1818 Newton Abbot, Devon, daughter of William Sanders and Elizabeth Eales). They emmigrated to New Zealand in 1841.

Other children of Edward Penny and Anna Cox were Elizabeth b Feb 1813, Joseph b Aug 1815, William b Jun 1825, Charlotte b Aug 1827 and Sarah b Nov 1830 all in Devon.

Any ancestors of these appreciated as LDS IDI is uncertain prior to this time.
