Hi Ellen,
I don't have Penney's but do have many other Nfld connections. One of mine...Thomas deGrish...went to New York in 1920 to visit a "Mrs. Penney" living on Staten Island. I've found a Debra Penney b.1909 who married a Butler and died in Brooklyn. Wondering if you knew who Debra's mother was, as Debra was born in English Harbour.
My deGrish family were from Trinity, so the New York angle is interesting.
