Sorry I don't have anything on Ida other than her birth date (1869). You may already know about her father but this is the small amount of information I have on him:

A merchant in Bombay. Mentioned in passing in Florence Fraser's Indian Mutiny letters and wrote a letter of condolence to Florence (Florence was his sister from whom I'm descended)

He and his wife were living at Mount Lodge, Portobello, Edinburgh at the time of the birth of their daughter Gertrude Campbell Penney on 17 September 1862. Charles was described as East India Merchant. The house appears to have belonged to a relative, Lieutenant Colonel James Johnston, retired (1861 Census). The Penney's are not listed as resident in 1861 or 1871.

The marriage was dissolved in about 1868 though their child Ida was born in 1869.
