I agree that they must not be the same, even though the coincidences are great. My ggrandfather was born in SC in 1805, moved to Montgomery Co., TN and married Luvenia Douglas in 1822. She died in childbirth in 1849 and he moved from Montgomery Co., TN to Calloway Co., Ky and died there. In his will, proved in 1861, he left his land, which was a sizable amount, in Montgomery Co., TN to all of his children. He did have a son David C. Penny also.
