Joseph Pennypacker in the Civil War

Two more Pennypackers here I'm hoping someone can combine into one. Joseph (2 July 1841--24 Jan. '88) was the son of Aaron, and Rachel Neiman. He married Margret D Newell (1841-1918).
In the 68th PA Infantry during the Civil War is a Joseph, whose widow is shown in his pension index as Margaret D Pennypacker, and she filed for her pension July 14 1890.
Anybody know if these are the same, or do I just need to stop drinking so much Dr Pepper so late at night?
