Looking at the map, I see that the community of Hatchie is in the lower left corner of Madison Co. next to Haywood and Hardeman counties. Pennycost creek runs southwest from the Shady Grove Cemetery area to the Hatchie river. No, I didn't get any farther south than Maple Springs Rd. I have also looked in the book "Cemetery records of Madison Co, TN - Southern Half" and not found Scarborough and Mary in it. Given the proxmity of Hatchie to those county lines, I'll try to find cemetery books on Haywood and Hardeman counties. I think I need to go back and look at the description of the land Wm F. gave his children just before his death, and locate the parcels on a map. That will give me a better idea where to look. Also want to find where Isaac Moody was buried. He was next to Scarborough on the 1840 Madison Co., Census, and he was the administrator of Scarborough's estate. Since Scarborough did not own any land in TN, I suspect that Scarborough was an overseer for Isaac Moody, and presumably Isaac would have seen to it that Scarborough and his wife were buried somewhere nearby.
