Harriet Ann Pentecost Obit
SANFORD, Fla. — Harriett Ann Pentecost passed away Jan. 6, 2008, after a long illness at The Renaissance in Sanford, Fla. She was 89.
Her husband, Chauncey Jr. Pentecost, her daughter, Carole Jo Pentecost, and her sister, Mrs. Sue Schober, predeceased her. Born in Adrian, Mich, she graduated from Adrian High School. She was a member of Eastern Star. She was an avid golfer and bridge player.She sought out bridge players, golfers and friends in Naples, Fla., and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She was an exemplary hostess who loved throwing dinner parties and entertaining friends and family. She enjoyed bird watching, swimming, dancing and reading.
Her son, David Lee Pentecost, daughter-in-law Anne Fitzhugh Green Pentecost, of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and grandson, Jesse David Pentecost, granddaughter-in law, Shona Pentecost, of Kenosha, Wisc., and granddaughter, Amanda Rhea Pentecost of Chicago, Ill, survive her.
A family memorial service is planned for the summer in Engadine, Mich. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780.
