Jill--

You were much more thorough than I. I think I had some trouble reading some of the entries, and rather skipped over some pages. Mostly I was looking for Pentony. As you can see from the material I sent you, my gr-grandfather William was born in about 1824/26 and, thus, was not in the Parish Register. Darn! What you have found leaves me with the questions of who were Mary P., Christopher P., and Julia Pentony? Sisters and brother of John (presumably the elder brother of William or children of his)?

Have you checked into information available from the Co. Meath Heritage Center? They have a form on the web, and charge a fee of $25 for a search. Unfortunately, I changed computers and lost all my bookmarks. They list themselves as Irish History Foundation Home Page>County Meath Heritage Center. I have been trying to work myself up to sending the form. My gr-grandfather's wife was Elizabeth Gannon (b. 1828), also from Co. Meath, as was her father Patrick Gannon [b. 1789, m. Mary Carr ca. 1820 (b. 1800)], so I have two relatives to research.

Thanks for the information.
John
