Pentney sometimes prounced this way. still a nice name, and its my maiden name from London. Gt.Grandparents from Liverpool.grandfather was from Manchester. would welcome anything on the name, I have records where it came from in Normandy. There is a Pentney Priory in Norfolk.UK supposed to be named from our family!
My grandparents were Alfred Joseph Pentony and Florence nee Ridley (Haltwhistle side) Pentony. lived in Clapham.London.South Africa.and back to UK. Died in Chatham. Kent.Have been told of a Pentony living in USA with a relation in New Zealand - would like to trace her, she came from Eire.
