Thanks for all the information. Where in Indiana were your people?

My line may have come from Besancon, France. There is a very small community in Allen County were many of the descendants live called Besancon.

I really know nothing about what the name 'Pepe' means, or even exactly how to pronounce it. I know that they did not like it to be pronounced 'pee pee'!
