Just recently found out that I am part Pepper(s) thanks to the great sleuthing work and records sent to me by Judy Bowman who has several messages posted to this list. I am descended from John Pepper(s) and Ester/Hester Whaley Peppers through their daughter Elizabeth, who married Nathan Fowler sometime in the early 1820s, probably in Jackson, Walton or Gwinnett County. I would appreciate any further information on ancestors of John Pepper(s). Thanks to Judy, I have the Whaley background on John's wife, Esther/Hester Whaley. (Of course we can always use more information.) I also will be happy to share anything I have on Nathan and Elizabeth Pepper(s) Fowler's descendants.
Also, I was going through the 1850 Gwinnett County, GA, census last Friday and came across the Sunsberry Pepper listing and a rather odd one on their neighbors, the "Vicarys." Thought I'd pass it on in case it might help someone else.
