Dear Kris,
I am writing to hopefully gather information on the Peradotto's. My great-grandmother was Julia Peradotto(Bertoglio was her married name). My great-great grandparents would be Constantino and Lucia Peradotto (Lucia's maiden name was Mattioda). They all were from the Coal City and Joliet areas of Illinois, where most of my family currently resides. The information that I have gathered is that they were originally from Gallenca (Valperga) Province of Torina, Italy. I was hoping to get whatever information you could give me about the the lineage and ancestry back in Italy. Thank you.
Jeff Thompson
P.S. My grandmother was positive that they spelled their name Peredetto, although I now realize that the name may have been changed at one time in Illinois.
