Thanks for posting. Right now I am of the opinion that Lewis Pursifull or Louis as it is sometimes listed could be Franklin Pursifull son of Henry C. Pursifull and Fannie Coleson. Lewis had the middle initial of F. and he was born 1827 TN. Franklin was born 1827 TN. The only other evidence is that they both spelled their last name Pursifull. I also found out that Wilkerson Pursifull lived in Boone County, Kentucky for a while. He is the son of Mount Pursifull and Mary Colson. He also married a Colson. In the 1880 Bell County Census there is a Lewis Colson b. abt. 1873 who is either a son or grandson of Mount Pursifull and is living with him. Mary Colson Pursifull was dead by that time. He could be named after this older Lewis Pursifull or could be a son. I hope someone can clear up this mystery.
Thanks again.
Barbara
