Percivals in England

Dear Nik,

I'm hoping that you can save me from screwing up my Family Tree and putting it in the Bin!!

My paternal Grandmother's family were Percivals from south-east London (Southwark/Bermondsey) My Great-Great Grandfather was Charles Percival, born around 1843. He died in 1881 from TB. I know from his marriage certificate to Martha Gates that his Father's name was James.
I have not been able to find a birth cert for a Charles Percival with the Fathers name as James.

Did your James from Rochester move to Southwark? I have details of a James Percival, born in Rochester, living in a Southwark workhouse from the 1881 census, but don't know if it's my ggg-g'father.

Please help before I tear my hair out!!

Best Wishes for your own Family Tree if we don't have a link

Kind Regards

Victoria Webster
