A Cheshire connection is not impossible if your Nancy's name was sometimes spelled "Percifull." More likely, my ancestors were from further east. The widest variation in spelling seems to be centered in Bedfordshire (I've collected 10 spelling variations from that county alone!), including some that are very close to what I'm looking for.
