I should really check the messages a bit more often!

Just yesterday, I ran across Thomas Percivall, of Holt, Norfolk, sailor. This is through the Library of Virginia, "Virginia Colonial Records". The below is a quote from the abstract... dated 13 May 1607.

It was a case of Sir Ralph Bigley and the Trial.
"The proposed voyage to Virginia seems to have been an excuse for a privateering expedition, and the action is brought because the ship does not go to Virginia as promised."

I realize this is not near to the date, but perhaps you can search their site.
