Rebecca(1) is the daughter of Peter Honey. She was born in 1783 in Berkshire County, MA. Rebecca(2) started life as Rebecca Snow but became the second wife of Parmenter Honey in 1885. Parmenter is a brother of Peter. Rebecca(3) (born in 1779) is the daughter of Parmenter Honey and Rebecca(2).
Rebecca(1) and Rebecca(3) led nearly parallel lives. Rebecca(3) became a widow before 1830 and Rebecca(1) became a widow before 1840. Both had daughters named Sophronia, Frances and Rebecca. Rebecca(1) spent her married life in western VT; Rebecca (3) spent hers in eastern NY.
The close relationship between the cousins started before 1800 when several of Parmenterís children left home in Sharon, Hillsborough County, NH to live with other members of the Honey family. Rebecca(3) moved to Poultney, Rutland County, VT to live with her Uncle Peter Honey, father of Rebecca(1).
Rebecca(1) married Amos Pierce in 1804 in Sharon, Hillsborough County, VT and started their married life in Poultney, VT. Rebecca(3) Married Stephen Percival in 1812 and began married life in Keene Valley, Essex County, NY. Essex County is on the Eastern shore of Lake Champlain and Rutland County is on the Western shore of Lake Champlain.
Rebecca(1), then living in Washington County, VT, with most of her children grown, provided a home for Rebecca(3)ís children after the death of Stephen Percival in 1827.
