Timothy Perkins-New Hampshire-Adams/Jackson
Timothy Perkins was born in New Hampshire on February 25, 1772 and married Mary Gentleman in Conway, NH on October 9, 1792.They resided in Adams/Jackson NH and according to the Town Clerk's recorder were the parents of 9 children born in Jackson, NH-John Y b. 12-09-1793, Lemuel b. 8-12-1795, Abigail b. 8-12-1797, George F b. 10-09-1799, Paul b. 9-28-1801, Lydia b. 8-14-1803, Silas M b. 8-24-1805, Mary b. 8-15-1807 and Betsy M b. 9-16-1809.He lived on the same road as "Captain" John Perkins who was the son of Lemuel and Abigail Foss Perkins but there is no record I have found that shows these 2 men are brothers.According to the township notes they worked closely together over the years.Mary is still listed with Timothy on the 1840 census but in 1850 his daughter Lydia is residing with him.Timothy signed a letter to the pension board for Lemuel to get a pension from the government for a wound he received in the War of 1812 but after that he is off the radar.I am searching for any data on Timothy's parentage, his birth place, his wife Mary's death date and his death date and place.Any help would be appreciated.
