Hi, Phyllis:

Thanks for responding so quickly! I will call my stepfather today to ask. He lives in Morgantown, WV and I live in Los Angeles, but I'll see what I can find out.

How wonderful for other Permars that you've been working on this for decades!

My stepfather's name is Robert Permar and I believe his father's name was David. I'm obviously just getting into his line (have spent a few years now on my mother's Pilgrim ancestry and my dad's Mennonite lineage) and need to get the basic parent and grandparent information.

My husband and daughter and I were in Morgantown over Christmas and went for dinner to a restaurant in Pt. Marion, PA, which is about ten minutes down a country road from their house, and he said his grandparents had lived and were buried there, too. So we're probably talking great-grandparents who would have lived elsewhere in PA and would possibly link up with your husband's line.

Back with you soon -- I'll ask about the names you mentioned.

Thanks again!
--Cynthia
