Hello, Jennifer! Nice to hear from you. I do not have your grandfather on my Family Tree Maker, but I do have a great deal of info from Douglas Johnson and his daughter Melinda. The problem is that we are missing a link to connect the NC Permars with the PA & OH Permars. I found James Edgar in the materials I have on the NC Permars. Are you Jennifer Leigh Permar b-5/29/1975, daughter of Jeffrey Lyn Permar & Melanie Barfield? I have rather extensive info on the Guilford County Permars beginning with William Permar (1790-1877) abd Sarah Blair (1779-1860). The missing link, I believe, lies in discovering who the father of William was. Perhaps we can discover that missing link together.

Phyllis, wife of Edward Permar who is the grandson of Wesley Clark Permar.
