Hello , I have Jean Baptiste Perrault ( I'll call JR.)
b: 1793 ,From River Du Loup .
He went with the Fur Brigade and settled in the French Prairie claiming land along the Willamette River near Yamhill.
He married a Chinook woman May 10, 1814 ,Vancouver Washington.
He then married a Angele Tchailis .The first woman and he
Together they had :
Reinette ( Ellen) B: 1820 .Marie ANNE 1823.
* This 24 December , 1840 , we priest undersigned have baptized Reine, aged 20 years, legitimate daughter of Jean Baptiste Perrault , farmer of this place and of Angelique Tchialis ...
Reine was a step daughter to Angele Tchailis , at the time of her marriage her mother was un named Tchinouk ( Chinook) who was also the mother of Marie Anne . This un -named woman may have been a daughter of Chief Concomley.
* One writer Steeves states that Perrault's daughter Marie Ann was a first cousin to Dr. William McKay , son of Tom McKay, If Correct , it would appear that Perrault's un - named Tchinouk ( Chinook) wife was daughter to Chief Comcomley , as Tom McKay's first wife was, Perrault's Widow, Angele Thailis , married Sylvain Bourjeau...
I am trying to find out if Jean Baptiste Perrault and his daughters were a part of a Tchinouk ( Chinook ) Tribe ?
Reinette's daughter may have been a memember of the Cow Creek Band Of Umpqua Indians.. However, I am not sure if Reinette was ?
If anyone connects , please reply
