Hi, Ran accross this post while searching his dad. Here is some stuff I have.
JEAN PERRAULT (My eight-times-great-GRANDFATHER) was born on March 15, 1613 in St. Sulpice de Paris, Ile de France to Lambert Perrault3095 and Marguerite Charel3096. Jean married Jeanne Valta on April 24, 1638 in St-Sulpice, Paris, Île-de-France, France. (Jeanne Valta was born about 1624 in St-Sulpice, Paris, Île-de-France, France and died between 1645 and 1723.) Another name for Jean was Jean Perrot. April 30 1634: Jean Perrault and Andre (Antoine) Richard b-1600 arrived Kebec.
Jean died between 1646 and 1704, aged about 62.
The name Perrault, Perraud, Perreault and Perrot, is a hypocoristique Pierre; perrot also named parrot. Claude Perrault (1613 - 1688) was a French architect who is the completion of the Louvre and its colonnade, a masterpiece of French architecture. Charles Perrault (1628 - 1703) was a French writer who is, among others, the parallels of Old and Modern Stories and tales of times past or Contes de ma mère l'Oye (1697). In France, there is a
concentration of Perrault in Maine-et-Loire, a concentration of Perraud in Loire-Atlantique and the concentration of Perrot in Finistère.
