My father was Joe Tom Parrett, son of William Franklin Perrett. My father changed the spelling of his last name and I have no clue as to why. William Franklin's father was Robert Perrett. The family lived near Patsburg and Fuller's Crossroads in Crenshaw County. William Franklin b. 1872, married Josephine Jeffcoat, had the following siblings : Robert b. 1874; Thomas S. b. 1876; Andrew Lee b. 1882; Lurvernie b. 1888; and Missouri (Zue) b. 1889
Robert was married to Mary Holley in 1868. I believe there is Indian blood, maybe Cherokee, but haven't been able to prove it.
Hope this helps.
